Chesco Pops to Give Movie Music Orchestral Interpretation

The group will perform on July 19 at Phoenixville Area High School

The Chesco Pops, Chester County’s own pop orchestra, is bringing its classic musical stylings to on Thursday, The Mercury is reporting.

The July 19 show, titled “Lights…Camera…Music! The Melodies and Memories from Movies and TV” will be comprised of renditions from famous television and silver screen tunes. The fun fusion of high and low art will close the orchestra’s summertime concert series.

The 65-piece orchestra, and its two vocal accompanists, will perform at the high school’s auditorium at 7:30 p.m. and a percentage of ticket sales will benefit the Phoenixville Public Library.

Tickets are available online at the orchestra’s website and also at the door. Prices are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and $5 for students. Children 12-years-old and younger get in free.
