Where/When: Steel City Coffeehouse, Saturday at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Why Go: John Eddie and his band bring their soul, folk and rockabilly sound to Steel City for an intimate night of music. There's a different opening act for each of the two shows.

Pricing: $20 in advance; $22 the day of the show

Where/When: Spring-Ford High School Senior Wing, Door 15, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Why Go: Find more than 300 gently used prom dresses for $15 pre-paid or $20 at the sale. The proceeds benefit Spring-Ford’s post-prom event.

Why Go: Help raise money for Phoenixville Area’s post-prom party. Bring along the flyer in the event listing to ensure the organization receives 20 percent of the food bill. If you miss this on Sunday, you can go each night through Thursday, Feb. 10.

6. First Friday Fright Night

Where/When: , Friday, 10 p.m.

Why Go: Check out the sci-fi film Fifth Element, score a poster by a local artist and help rid yourself of cabin fever.

Pricing: $8 regular admission; $6 for seniors and students with ID; $5 for members and children
