Journey Church Set to Jam at Reeves Park
The young church will provide live music, food, and fun on July 15.
Blobfest 2012 isn’t the only event coming to the borough next weekend.
July 15 at , Pastor Don Heller and the parishioners of are hosting a “Journey Jam” festival. The event is slated to start at 10:30 a.m., run until the early afternoon, and will feature live music, a DJ, free food, drinks, a kids' water zone with a slip and slide, and more.

“We’re not having vendors there,” Heller told Patch, “we’re just going to be cooking food and giving it away.”
Heller said the event is meant to introduce people to the church and to give its members, and the community at large, a day of fun.

“It should be a great time. We’re all really looking forward to it,” he added.
Heller, 32, said his youthful church usually meets on Sundays at the –”It’s kind of like a rock concert. Every Sunday we come in with a box truck, set up for the service, and then tear it down completely,” he said–but on the 15th they relinquished their usual space for the annual screening of “The Blob.”
Journey Church came to Phoenixville a year and a half ago after being founded in Limerick in 2008.
