Robert L. Pennell, 57

Robert L. Pennell, age 57, husband of Patricia (Phipps) Pennell, of Phoenixville, PA passed away suddenly on Wednesday morning, May 23, 2012. Born in West Chester, PA , he was a son of the late George M. and Hannah A. (Boyd) Pennell.

Mr. Pennell was a graduate of Great Valley High School. He was employed by Johnson Matthey Inc. in West Chester. Among his hobbies, Mr. Pennell enjoyed classic cars, and building model and remote control airplanes and helicopters. He loved to spend time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Pennell is survived by two daughters, Cynthia J. and Samantha G. Pennell, both at home; two sisters, Lois Pennell of Malvern and Georgia Hughes of Franklin, TN; one brother, Don, husband of Lorraine Pennell of Downingtown, PA; and seven nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the Limerick Chapel, 378 W. Ridge Pike, Limerick, PA 19468 on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 2:00 PM. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Daniel M. Peters. Burial will follow in the Limerick Garden of Memories. Friends will be received at the church from 1:00-2:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Shaohannah's Hope, P.O. Box 647, Franklin, TN 37065. Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville is in charge of arrangements.

Kathleen M. (Hornak) Hughes, 70

Kathleen M. (Hornak) Hughes, 70, wife of Robert W. Hughes, of Phoenixville, PA, died on Monday, May 21, 2012 following a brief illness.

Born in Phoenixville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Emma (Vontor) Hornak.

She was a graduate of St. Cyril Academy in Danville, PA.

For over 20 years, Kathleen worked for Dr. David Wilner, Orthopedic Surgeon in Phoenixville.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Phoenixville and a member of the Red Hat Society.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 49 years are her children, Robert W. Hughes, Jr. and wife Michelle of Pottstown, PA; Alan J. Hughes of Phoenixville, PA; Kimberly wife of Daniel Boyer of Gilbertsville, PA; 4 Grandchildren, Adam Boyer, Aaron Boyer, Olivia Hughes, Jeremy Hughes; Sister, Mary Lou wife of James Jamieson of Weston, CT.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 146 Church Street, Phoenixville,PA, on Friday, May 25, 2012 at 10:30 am with the Rev. Michael W. Rzonca officiating.

Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Phoenixville, PA.

A viewing will be held in the Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 517 S. Main Street atFourth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA on Thursday evening from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, and on Friday morning from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in the form of mass cards.

Walter R. "Wally" Rittenbaugh, 65

Walter R. "Wally" Rittenbaugh, 65, of Uwchland, PA and formerly of Phoenixville, PA, died on Sunday, May 20, 2012 inChester County Hospital, West Chester, PA.
Born in Phoenixville, PA, he was the son of the late Edwin J. and Helen V. (Taylor) Rittenbaugh.

He served in the United States Army during the Viet Nam War.

Wally was the owner of Rittenbaugh's Exxon in Phoenixville for many years.

He was a member of West End Fire Company, Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Company and the Slovak Club in Phoenixville,PA.

He was an avid golfer and enjoyed hobbies such as painting, photography and stained glass craftsman.

Surviving are 3 children: Ed Rittenbaugh and wife Chris of Kimberton, PA; Kelly Ann Rittenbaugh of Pottstown, PA; Eric N. Rittenbaugh of Parker Ford, PA; 6 Grandchildren: Clayton, Kiana, Victor, Jr., Maddison, Tristan and Talia; Former wife, Ruth Ann Rittenbaugh; Loving companion, Joan Potter; 2 Sisters: Jane Davis and husband Robert, Sr.; Rosemarie Schrump. 

He was preceded in death by his brother, Edwin Rittenbaugh Jr.

Funeral Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
