Keeping it Snappy in East Pikeland Township

The board of supervisors meeting was held at 8:30 a.m. Friday morning.

Call it efficiency.

On Friday morning at 8:30 a.m., the East Pikeland Board of Supervisors met for exactly one minute and 12 seconds.

The agenda contained no new business or old business. Chairman Ronald Graham said it was the first time he could recall an empty agenda.

“Usually I can find something, but not for today,” said Township Manager Kim Moretti.

In the speedy meeting, the two supervisors—Graham and Supervisor Benson Campbell—joined Moretti in the Pledge of Allegiance and approved minutes from the previous meeting and paid the bills.

No audience members were present, so calls for public comment fell on an empty room. Vice Chairman Rusty Strauss was not in attendance.

The meeting was originally scheduled for Tues., July 5 at 7 p.m., but was moved to the morning to accommodate supervisors’ schedules.

Later this month, when the zoning hearing for East Pikeland Elementary is continued, there’s sure to be a bigger crowd. Those back-to-back hearing dates are July 25 and 26, at 7 p.m. and 6 p.m., respectively. Both will be held in the East Pikeland Township Building.
