Meet This Week’s Playful Pup

Say hi to Leopold, a Pomeranian/Shih Tzu mix.

Leopold is available for adoption through Pine Valley Shih Tzu Rescue. Lisa writes:

“Leopold is a 10-month-old Pomeranian/Shih Tzu mix, weighing about 15 lbs.

“Despite rough beginnings, Leopold is a good boy. He has learned to fetch a ball and stick, to ‘sit’ and to ‘down’ and is currently working on ‘stay.’

“He also goes potty outside and loves the outdoors and especially dirt! He is very playful and plays with anything he is allowed to play with. Of course, the stuffed animals that make noise are his favorite.

“He is very active but is not destructive in any way. Because he has obviously received little affection in his previous life, he has not learned all of the puppy no-no’s like being a little mouthy and jumping when excited. Don’t worry though; he’s working on those too!

“He puts himself to bed and would do well having a crate of his own. He loves other dogs and people and wants to be next to his people at all times. His demeanor with cats is a little questionable though.

“He seems to love children as well—he was with 28 of them in my classroom and did very well.  Please consider opening up your heart and home to Leopold. I promise you won’t regret it!”
