Phoenixville Foundation Gives $373K to Local Non-Profits

The Phoenixville Community Health Foundation awarded the grants last week.

On March 21, the Phoenixville Community Health Foundation awarded $373,000 in grants to local non-profit organizations that provide access to health care for residents of the borough and the surrounding area.

“These grants support this mission in that they address the physical, behavioral, social, economic and civic health of the Foundation’s community,” PCHF president and CEO Louis J. Beccaria said.

$58,000 of Level One grants, which provide direct access to health care, were awarded to:

  • The Chester County Health Department
  • Family Service of Chester County
  • Maternal and Child Health Consortium

In addition to direct health care, the board awarded grants to non-profit organizations whose work in the Phoenixville area addresses health, human service, and quality of life issues for the fragile, disabled, and socially or economically disadvantaged. These Level Two grants totaled $288,500 and were awarded to:

  • Bryn Mawr Rehabilitation Hospital
  • Chester County Community Foundation
  • Chester County Food Bank
  • Chester County Futures
  • Chester County OIC
  • Domestic Violence Center of Chester County
  • Gateway Employment Resources
  • Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund
  • Mom’s House
  • Open Hearth
  • Phoenixville Police Athletic League
  • Phoenixville Area Positive Alternatives
  • Phoenixville Community Education Foundation
  • Triskeles, Inc.
  • Victim Services Center of Montgomery County
