Robert Hogga, 58, Was a Member of the Valley Forge Fire Company

Hogga passed away on July 20.

Robert J. Hogga, age 58, husband of Kathleen F. (Phillippy) Hogga, of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Friday evening, July 20, 2012 at home. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of Elaine (Hasko) Clarke and the late Steve Hogga.

Mr. Hogga was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church. He retired from the Norristown State Hospital, then drove for Krapf Bus Company. Mr. Hogga was a member of the Valley Forge Fire Company, Friendship Fire Company, West End Fire Company, Polish-American Citizens Club, Slovak-American Citizens Club, Sant Anna Italian-American Club, the Spring City American Legion, the Lions Club, and was Commander of the Phoenixville VFW Post 1564. He led the Voice of Democracy Program at the Phoenixville High School, which is a speech-essay competition that awards students college scholarships through the VFW. Photography as his passion, he owned RJ Hogga Photography, and was active in the PYBRL where he acted as the photographer. Mr. Hogga was also a respected baseball umpire for the PYBRL. He enjoyed to play golf.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Hogga is survived by three children, Robert Jr., Jonathon, and Jaclyn Hogga; siblings, Maryann Petrie, Kelly Seraj, Beth Ann Hester, Gianna Guziak, and Steve Hogga; several nieces and nephews; and his loving dog Vegas.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass at the St. Ann Chapel, 604 South Main Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460 on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be the Rev. John J. Newns. Burial will follow in the St. Ann Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, on Wednesday evening, July 25 from 6:00-9:00 PM or on Thursday morning, July 26 from 9:00-10:15 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Voice of Democracy Program, c/o VFW Post 1564, 200 Starr Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
