School, Community Closings and Cancellations

Non-emergency government functions are taking a Sandy-mandated break on Monday.

Schools, businesses and other local organizations on Sunday announced plans to close during Hurricane Sandy.

Schools

  • Renaissance Academy is closed on Monday.
  • All Phoenixville Area School District Schools are closed Monday. All district schools will be closed Tuesday as well. A decision about Wednesday has not yet been made.

Government

  • All Chester County government buildings, including district courts and Common Pleas, are closed for Monday and Tuesday.
  • Borough Hall will be closed Monday and Tuesday. Additionally, there will be no Tuesday trash collection. Trash and recycling will be picked up November 6.
  • The Phoenixville Public Library is closed on Monday.
