Schuylkill River Trail Connector Open House

Planners want your opinion about new designs for the trail connector between Mont Clare and Phoenixville.

 

Wednesday night is the public's chance to weigh in on a proposal to improve the Schuylkill River Trail from Mont Clare into the Borough of Phoenixville via the Route 29 bridge.

The borough is hosting a public open house to give anyone interested a chance to see current plans and comment on the designs for a new and improved connection.

An announcement on the Phoenixville Borough website described the meeting this way:

Plans are being developed to improve the Schuylkill River Trail from Mont Clare into the Borough of Phoenixville via the Route 29 bridge. We are seeking your input on proposed designs for the improved connection. Meet and speak with members of the planning team and provide your feedback on this critical connection.

The planning team will be available to take comment from residents, business owners, and persons interested in the continued development of the Schuylkill River Trail. Stop in, take a look at the plans, and give us your thoughts.

The plans are being developed by The Greater Valley Forge Transportation Management Association, in partnership with Chester County Planning Commission, Montgomery County Planning Commission, Borough of Phoenixville, and Upper Providence Township, Michael Baker Jr., Inc. and Campbell Thomas & Co.  Funding for the Study is through the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC). 

The open house will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Phoenixville Borough Municipal Building at  140 Church Street.
