I love the "Then and Now" series, but I'm really bad at recognizing places so I rarely post a guess. So I'm probably dead wrong and Taxpayer and Jim L are probably right, but I don't see how this could be Starr St looking north. If it were, then we would see Starr dead end into Bridge, but it looks in the picture like the road bends to the right. Starr doesn't have any bend like that today, and it doesn't in the 1883 maps either. So I don't really know what it is but I don't think it's Starr St. It certainly looks like the iron company smokestacks in the distance. This is a wild guess, but I wonder if it's Main St and High St on the North Side looking South, where Main bends to the right to head to the low bridge. Or possibly Bridge St looking East where the road bends at the Barto property.

Well I think you are wrong Josh. I think it is Bridge street at around Nudy's and Barto looking towards downtown.

Its Vanderslice st , i think , the street you turn right on the high bridge , before the red light.

I am going to take a wild guess and say Wheatland street looking toward Bridge street.

A Taxpayer and Jim L. are correct, Starr looking north from south of Church. The Church Street intersection is at the end of the fence on the left. If you jumped over the fence you'd be on the field where the Union Club played their football games. You can see the back of the old borough hall on the left and the Episcopal church across the street on Church.
