This week, we have not one but two orange cats up for adoption. Mikey and Nikki are older and would make great pets.

“Sadly, Mikey and Nikki and their four housemates found themselves homeless when their human mom suddenly passed away and their human dad was just too medically fragile to continue to care for them. They’re some of the lucky ones in that Cat Angel Network, a local cat rescue group in Stowe, was able to take them into care and is actively seeking new homes.

“With kitten season just starting up yet again, these two boys know the odds are stacked against them. After all, they’re considered senior cats at just 9 years old (many cats live into their early 20s) and can’t compete with the cuteness of newborns.
“What they can provide, however, is incredible love and loyalty that comes with life experience, particularly when life has thrown you a curve and someone offers you a second chance.
“Mikey is a somewhat serious fellow who enjoys quiet, gentle times. Nikki is an adorable big boy who just simply loves to let it all hang out. His nonchalant attitude is both endearing and amusing at the same time. Both cats get along well with other cats and are extremely appreciative of regular meals, a comfy bed and lots of affection. They currently reside in the Adoption Center at PetSmart in Pottstown, where they gather quite a bit of attention due to their size. Mikey is big but Nikki is bigger—more of me to love, he claims.
