William Kirkland, 80, Was a Naval Flight Engineer

He passed away on June 9.

William T. Kirland, 80, of Phoenixville, PA died on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Sanatoga Center. He was the husband of Phyllis A. (Horner) Kirland.

He was born in Limerick to the late William T. and Marion (Kohl) Kirland.  After attending Royersford High School he enlisted in the US Navy and served as a flight engineer.

Mr. Kirland worked in the production line for thirty-six years at Superior Tube, Collegeville, PA.  He and his wife shared a love of the Hawaiian Islands, traveling to them twenty-three times.

In addition to his wife of forty-six years, he is survived by his children: son, William C. Kirland and wife Sharon, of Schwenksville; Vicki Pasquarello, wife of the late David, of Souderton;  grandchildren: Angela Huber, wife of James, Jennifer Grogan, wife of Michael and Lindsey Kirland; and great-grandson, Rocco David Grogan.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 11 AM at Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA.  Officiating will be Rev. James R. Roth. Friends may call from 10-11 AM.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to Best Friends Animal Society, 5001 Angel Canyon Road Kanab, UT 84741 or www.bestfriends.org.
