4th Annual Phoenixville Green Earth Festival

Fun for Everyone!
Learn, Create, Bike, Explore

Phoenixville is celebratingcommunity and sustainability at the 4thannual Green Earth Festival on the Schuylkill River Trail onSeptember 21 from 9AM - 2PM.

The festival features exhibitors, food, music, and children's entertainment.

Exhibitors
that specialize in eco-friendly products, renewable energy,
earth-friendly services, environmental / trails / recycling advocacy, and
organizations that are making a difference by protecting the environment and
building a sustainable and maintainable local economy. The festival will
feature local businesses and service groups that are working to make our region
a more sustainable community.


Check out the Green
Vehicles exhibit
, including electric, hybrid and biodiesel
autos. Come down and see the newest green cars from Ford, General Motors and
the Smart Car.


Entertainment and Fun
for all ages!
 
Entertainment will include
music and community art projects that everyone can join in. Kids can design
their own banners, where imagination is the limit! People of all ages can
participate in the Empty Bowls Project and craft unique bowls out of clay to
help the hungry in our community. But the clay doesn't stop there! Local
service group and community garden project overseers, Seventh Wonder, will
teach us all how to make seed bombs. Build 'em, throw 'em, and watch 'em grow!

ree Bike Rentals will
be available on the trail through Phoenix Cycles as part of the Bike Schuylkill
- Phoenixville program. The Schuylkill River Heritage Corridor and the Green
Team sponsor this program so that people can explore the town and local trails
on two wheels. Take a spin across the river to Mont Clare and the Lock 60 and
back for free!
