Belly dance is an ancient form of dance. The art embraces the nuances of the female form, targeting muscles and movements that strengthen and support our uniqueness. The isolations work with lean muscle groups to build core strength. The dance fosters a confidence and respect for our natural bodies. Belly dance is evolving every day all over the world. There are many styles of Belly dance; in class we explore a fusion of cabaret and tribal: Egyptian, Turkish and American forms. Classes are generally cumulative, however, movements, drills, combinations and layers will be modified for each individual skill and experience level.
