The Vivian Family has a long road ahead of them after two of their four children, Eli (age 7) and Ella (age 4), were recently diagnosed with Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD). This rare genetic disease involves degeneration of the white matter of the brain & central nervous system. There are treatments to slow the disease, but no cure for this fatal illness.
