The Phoenixville Jaycees present their second annual movie in the park at Reeves Park which will feature a showing of "The Goonies," the 1985 classic starring Sean Astin, Josh Brolin and Corey Haim.
This family friendly feature tells the story of a group of kids who go looking for treasure after finding a map belonging to a legendary pirate.
The Jaycees will be selling glow necklaces (2/$1) to raise funds for the organization and Continental Bank will be providing free ice cream sandwiches for the first 150 attendees beginning at 7:30. The movie will begin at 8 pm.
The Phoenixville Jaycees have been building a better community since 1952 and organize such events as the Dogwood Festival and the Burn off the Bird 5k, the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Our meetings are the second Thursday of the month at 7 pm at our headquarters on 8 Gay Street.
