TEDxYouth@BridgeStreet

TEDxYouth@BridgeStreet celebrates the rich landscape
of our transforming world. Join us on June 7, from 12:00-2:00PM at the historic
Colonial Theater in Phoenixville, where we will dive “Into the Future.” The
event, organized by Downingtown School District 8th grade students,
Isabel Hessler, Caroline Ellison, and Akshay Rajarim, will feature a
combination of live speakers, curated TEDTalks, as well as an interactive
intermission with hands-on activities for attendees. Isabel and Caroline will
serve as co-hosts for the event, and Akshay, an avid singer, will also treat
attendees to a performance. This event is organized by youth for youth, but
parents and friends are encouraged to attend!

Featured speakers include
the following:

Katherine Kuchenbecker: A mechanical engineer and University of
Pennsylvania professor, Katherine was recently named to the Popular Science
Brilliant 10 for her innovative work in haptics “touch” technology.

ABOUT TEDx

TEDx was created in the spirit of TED’s
mission, “ideas worth spreading.” The program is designed to give communities,
organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through
TED-like experiences at the local level.
AT TEDx events, a screening of TEDTalks videos--or a combination of live
presenters and TEDTalks videos—sparks deep conversation and connections. TEDx
events are fully planned and coordinated independently, on a
community-by-community basis.
