Canal Day

This 29th annual event hopes to increase awareness of the great significance the Schuylkill Canal played in our community’s growth and prosperity. Some highlights of the full day of family-oriented fun include kids crafts and face painting; a horseshoe tournament; music by The Dave Dougherty Band, Holt45 and Funk Church; a used gear equipment sale with 10% of the sale proceeds are to be donated to SCA. A fishing derby for kids 12 and under will feature prizes by French Creek Outfitters.  A limited number of fishing rods will be available and bait and tackle will be provided.
