Phoeniville Kiwanis Present Youth Service Award

The Grimes Academic Mentoring Enrichment program was the recipient of $1,000.

The Kiwanis Club of Phoenixville recently presented its Youth Service Award to the Grimes Academic Mentoring Enrichment program, also known as GAME.  This program, which is sponsored by Grimes A.M.E. Church, provides access to homework assistance, computers, tutoring programs and self-esteem projects for economically disadvantaged students.

The Youth Service Award, which carries a value of $1,000, is presented annually by the Kiwanis Club to a group or organization which is working to improve the lives of children or youth in the Phoenixville Area.  The Kiwanis Club salutes Grimes A.M.E. and thanks them for their dedication to enriching the lives of Phoenixville’s youth.

The Kiwanis Club of Phoenixville meets at Spring Hollow Country Club on the first and third Thursdays of each month at 6:30.  For information about the club’s activities or becoming a member contact President Larry Gubanich at 610-935-1383.
