Phoenixville Seeks Cash Donations for Fireworks

The Borough plans to light up the sky with fireworks display on the Fourth of July.

Phoenixville is planning its annual Fourth of July fireworks display, but is still looking for cash donations to make the show possible.

A spokeswoman declined to specify how much money is still needed, but told Phoenixville Patch that the borugh is getting closer to its fundraising goal to pay for the display but that donors are still welcome and needed. The township depends on individual donations to pay the cost of filling the sky with colorful pyrotechnics.

Spokeswoman Karen John says donations can be sent in care of the Phoenixville Borough Manager Jean Krack at 140 Church Street, Phoenixville, PA, 19460.

Here are the details of the planned fireworks display on July 4:

  • The rain date for the Phoenixville fireworks is July 6, 2013.
  • Visitors may park in the lot behind the reservoir at Reservoir Park, Franklin Commons, or the Santa Anna Club, and at the Bethel Baptist Church on Fairview Street.
  • Vendors with refreshments will be available.
  • Alcohol, drugs, and pets are not permitted.
  • A limited number of handicapped parking spaces will be available in the gravel parking lot adjacent to Friendship Field.
