Should Styrofoam Be Banned In Your City?

By Tara May Tesimu

Are you willing to give up your to-go styrofoam cups and containers to make the world a better place?

Some major cities — including New York and San Francisco are making the move to ban the environmentally unfriendly product.

“The only thing in the world that lives longer than cockroaches or Cher is styrofoam," said Christine Quinn, the New York City Council Speaker who supported the bill, according to the New York Daily News

Even if your city hasn't decided to ban the product completely, you can still find places to recycle the product through the Alliance of Foam Packaging Recyclers.
