Parade Set Rain or Shine

The annual Phoenixville Christmas Parade and Borough Tree Lighting is set for Friday.

The Phoenixville Kiwanis Club is once again sponsoring the Borough Christmas Parade on Friday.  There's a lot happening in and around the parade.  The Kiwanis Club sent the following information to share with Patch readers:

Phoenixville’s annual Holiday Parade, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Phoenixville, will be held on Friday, December 6.  The parade will step off at 7:00 p.m. at the new Borough Hall and will end at the intersection of Bridge and Starr Streets.

The parade will include decorated fire trucks, floats, bands and numerous groups and organizations.  Prizes will be awarded for best decorated fire truck and float.  The Kiwanis Club thanks Phoenixville Federal for donating the prize money for these awards.  The climax of the parade will be the arrival of Santa Claus himself.  Following the parade Santa will officiate at the lighting of the borough Christmas tree.  He will then be at home in his new house, located at the Kiwanis Children’s Plaza on Bridge Street.
