It's totally Un-American to allow the poor, old and weak to have vote denied!

Was wathcing the Daily Show about Republican crafted Pa. voter I.D. laws. It was really funny but I realized watching it, that this is happening in my own backyard but I really don't know anyone else who seems to give a damn. Other people do, i know that...but nobody I know personally.
This law is estimated to stop 987,000 voters from voting in Pa. It will overwhelmingly stop the poor, the old and minorities which vote Democrat, from voting in 2012 elections.
It was pushed through the legislature by a group of craven Republican politicians, recently brought into power in 2010 election, under the pretense of stopping in-person voter fraud in Pa.
There have been 10 alleged cases of in-person voter fraud since the year 2000!
10 total cases in 12 years!
But this law is preventing an estimated 987,000 people, about 9% of all Pa. voters, from voting.
This is an absolute outrage!!
This is a transparent and obvious manipulation of voting laws, by Republicans, to greatly reduce the number of Democrats from voting but who do want to vote... and not one other person I know personally seems to give a damn.
My Republican friends pretend they believe this is really about voter fraud and say they agree its absolutely necessary to stop that from skewing election results (but I don't for one minute believe its not just self-serving bullshit) and my Democrat friends seem to be sleepwalking through this election as if to say " it'll all be okay, things have changed... everything's different now that we elected a Black President, this country is fair and unbiased in its heart".
Total BS, all of it.
Imagine wanting to vote but politicians preventing you to stay in power.
Its the most un-American, undemocratic thing I've ever heard of and people in Pa.( but not just Pa. its happening around the country) just sit by and let the most basic freedom there is to be denied someone, to the poor and the old and the weak, just so their side wins??
I've been signing petitions and donating to groups that assist people in getting the proper ID to vote (and if you have a conscious you should be too!!) but I am getting pretty discouraged... not enough people are paying attention or give a danm about keeping this country free and democratic to stop them from pulling this off.
I'd like to think that even if it was the Democrats that were doing something this undemocratic (that's a small "d" ) and it helped "my side" that I would be just as outraged.
As a matter of fact I know I would!!
Shame on Republicans for not stopping this from happening, every one of you. These people represent you, they are YOUR voice and YOU are responsible for what they are willing to do to America just to stay in power.
I am ashamed for Republicans or any American who doesn't help prevent this from happening... its just plain and simple greed, greed for power.
And i think greed for power is worse than the greed for money... this greed for power steals the voice from the poor and the weak and the old!
Be a true American and demand fair elections, do something now to stop anyone who tries to steal the basic freedom to vote from another American!
