Albert W. Dazley, 82, Coached Football at Phoenixville

Mr. Dazley taught History and coached football at Phoenixville High School

Albert W. Dazley, 82, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2014 in Seasons Hospice, Phoenixville, surrounded in love with his wife Brenda and daughter Cara.

Al grew up in Danville, PA, and was graduated from Danville High School in 1950, and from Bloomsburg University in 1961. He received his Master's Degree from West Chester University and further studied at Temple University.

He was a production scheduling specialist as a member of the United States Air Force, serving in Korea for a period of 4 years.

He also worked as an attendant at the Danville State Hospital and as a statistical clerk at Kennedy Van Saun Manufacturing and Engineering Corporation in Danville.

He was a retired History teacher, his true passion, from Phoenixville High School after 35 years, where he also coached football and golf and served as Assistant Athletic Director.

He was an avid golfer, loved reading, learning and animals. He also volunteered at the Phoenixville Hospital Bookworm for many years.

Surviving in addition to his wife Brenda and daughter Cara, are his son-in-law, Kristopher Lombardi, and his two wonderful grandsons, Leonardo, age 3 and Alessio, age 2.

An open House in his honor will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 517 S. Main Street at Fourth Avenue, Phoenixville. Burial will be private.
