Former Barkley Elementary Worker Dies at 76

Services are planned Thursday for Phoenixville Native

Rita Jane (Carmichael) Moore, 76, wife of the late Julius James Moore, Jr., of Phoenixville, PA, died on Sunday, September 8, 2013 in Phoenixville Hospital.

Born in Phoenixville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Kolesar) Carmichael.

She worked for the former Kimberton Company in Phoenixville, then in the Barkley School cafeteria, and most recently she worked for K-Mart in Phoenixville.

Rita was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Phoenixville. She was a supporter of many organizations, which included the Purple Heart and Paralyzed Veterans Associations. She was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia Eagles fan.

Surviving are:
Daughter, Karen Ann wife of Glenn Miller of York, PA;
Son, Douglas James Moore husband of Amy of Royersford, PA;
Son, Dennis Andrew Moore of Phoenixville, PA;
Son, Robert Moore of Phoenixville, PA;

4 grandchildren:
Brittany and Andrew Miller;
Garrett and Juliana Moore.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Virginia M. Viscuso, Dorothy Giacobetti and her brother, Ronald Carmichael.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service in the Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 517 S. Main Street at Fourth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA, on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 11:00 am.

Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Phoenixville, PA.

Relatives and Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Chester County SPCA, 1212 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester, PA 19382.
