Michael Jalcs Jr., 41, Was a Fireman

Jalcs passed away on September 21.

Michael A. Jalcs Jr., 41, of Phoenixville, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2012, in the Paoli Hospital.  Born in Phoenixville, he was the son of Michael A. Sr. and Julia M. (Keeley) Jalcs, of Phoenixville.

Mr. Jalcs was a 1988 graduate of Northern Chester County Technical School and was last employed at Proclinical.  He was a member of West End Fire Co. and Valley Forge Fire Co.  Michael loved to fish and follow sports, but was a huge Temple fan.

In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by two children, Candace Jalcs, of Hamilton, NJ and Tony Jalcs, of Phoenixville; sister, Tina Turner, of Berwyn; and three nieces, Tiana, Alyssa and Brenna Turner.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 28, 2012, at 3:00 pm, at the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Washington Avenue and Starr Street, Phoenixville.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Michael’s name to The Clinic, Attn: Anna Lewicky, Director of Development, P.O. Box 657, Phoenixville, PA 19460.  Arrangements are being handled by the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc.  Condolences may be offered online at www.PhoenixvilleFuneralHome.com.

So sad to lose someone so young. My condolences to the family. But I am compelled to point out: Patch, do we know for certain he was a fireman? Belonging to the Social of Clubs of West End, Valley Forge, or any other Fire Company does not mean you are necessarily a firefighter. It just means you joined their Social Club.
