John Bielen, 92

John B. Bielen, 92, husband of Sarah P. (Boyle) Bielen, of Phoenixville, PA, died at home on Tuesday, March 6, 2012.

Born and raised in McAdoo, PA, he was the son of the late John and Maryann (Sito) Bielen.

John served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II. He then worked as an airplane mechanic for the Philadelphia Naval Yard and then at the turbine test tube station in Trenton, NJ. He retired after several years at the Naval Depot in Northeast Philadelphia and retired a second time from Abington School District.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Phoenixville.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of 68 years, are son, Thomas R. Bielen, husband of Patricia Beaty of Salt Lake City, UT, and daughter, Kathleen M. Puleo, wife of the late Joseph A. Puleo, Jr. of Phoenixville. John is also survived by five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 148 Church St., Phoenixville, on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Michael W. Rzonca officiating.

Burial will follow at St. Ann Cemetery, Phoenixville, PA.

Loretta Mudry, 82

Loretta Dorothy Agnes (Moran) Mudry, 82, of Upper Providence, formerly Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Monday morning, March 5, 2012 in Phoenixville Hospital.

Born in Phoenixville, she was a daughter of the late Matthew and Laura (Burg) Moran.  

A beloved mother and grandmother, Loretta was a volunteer with the Cornerstone Clubhouse on Hall Street in Phoenixville.

Loretta is survived by her four children: Joann D. Mudry of Delaware; James M. Mudry of Jacksonville, FL; Jay A. Mudry, fiancé of Debbie Conn of Falling Waters, WV; and Joseph Mudry of Millersburg, PA; eight siblings, 20 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one son, John R. Mudry Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to her memorial service at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA on Friday, March 9, 2012 at 11 a.m. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10:30 to 11 a.m.
