Betty Musselman, 87

Betty J. (Gerges) Musselman, age 78, wife of the late Vernon H. "Pete" Musselman, of Lower Pottsgrove Township, PA, died Wednesday evening, Nov. 9, 2011 in the Lehigh Valley Medical Center, Allentown, PA.  

Born in Royersford, she was the daughter of the late Daniel C. and Hazel V. (Wood) Gerges.

Mrs. Musselman was a 1950 graduate of the former Royersford High School. She worked at the former A&P Supermarket, which in later years became Super Fresh. She worked at the Royersford, Pottstown and Phoenixville stores. She retired in 1994 after 30 years of service.  

She was a former member of the Royersford Baptist Church and is a current member of the Berean Bible Church in Lower Pottsgrove.

Mrs. Musselman is survived by two daughters, Cindy L. Beard of Spring City, PA, and Linda A. Menkins; three brothers,  Daniel Gerges, Kenneth Gerges and wife Kathy, Gary Gerges; and grandson Richard Alexander Menkins. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the Cattermole – Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington St., Royersford, PA on Monday, Nov. 14, 2011 at 11 a.m.  

Burial will be in the Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick, PA. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, 1620 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103.

Joann Masi, 57

Joann Dru (Brown) Masi, age 57, wife of Dana Masi, of Charlestown, PA, died suddenly in her home on Monday, Nov. 7, 2011.  

Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Edward C. and Drucilla (Bowman) Brown. Joann worked as a Director of Clinical Data Management for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and retired in 2010 after 36 years of dedicated service.  

She was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in West Chester and a volunteer at the Paoli Memorial Hospital Breast Center. Joann was an avid reader, a lover of nature, a devoted grandmother, and most importantly, the pillar of strength, generosity, and kindness for all who knew her.

Joann’s legacy lives on through her daughter Danielle, grandson Riley Edward, son-in law Jason, sister Kim, brother-in-law Kevin, brother Edward, sister-in-law Lee, brother Michael, nephews and nieces, Drew, Blake, Cameron, Laura, Melanie, and Amanda, and her beloved dog B.B.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate her life at a Memorial Service at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 10 W. Pleasant Grove Road, West Chester, PA 19382 on Friday, Nov. 18, 2011 at 3 p.m.  

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the West Chester Food Cupboard, 545 E. Gay St., Gay Street Plaza, West Chester, PA 19380 or to the Paoli Hospital Foundation, Development Office, Medical Office Building One, Suite 205, 255 W. Lancaster Avenue, Paoli, PA 19301.

Amber Trowbridge, 21

Amber Nicole Trowbridge, 21, of Linfield, PA, died on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011 in the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia after being diagnosed with Leukemia in February.

Born in Phoenixville, PA, she was the daughter of Patrick and Debra (Ewing) Trowbridge of Linfield.

Amber was a 2008 graduate of Spring-Ford High School and attended Lansdale School of Business.

She worked at Wegmans in Collegeville, PA, and was a member of Grace Assembly of God Church in Spring City, PA.

Surviving in addition to her parents are a sister, Angela Lynn Schnovel Trowbridge, wife of Barrett Schnovel; niece Autumn Schnovel; maternal grandparents James and Frances Ewing; paternal grandfather John Trowbridge;
many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Mary Trowbridge.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service in the Good Shepherd Mausoleum at the Limerick Garden of Memories, 44 Swamp Pike, Limerick, PA on Monday, Nov. 14, 2011 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jack A. Mason officiating.

Visitation will be held in the Mausoleum from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 555 North Lane, Conshochocken, PA 19428.

Wilbur Baynard, 79

Wilbur E. "Bill" Baynard, 79, of Phoenixville, PA, died on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011 in Phoenixville Hospital.

Born in West Chester, PA, he was the son of the late Wilbur and Pauline (Larrimore) Baynard.

Wilbur served in the United States Navy for six years during the Korean War.

He then served as a police officer for Radnor Township for six years before doing bodyguard/chauffer work until his retirement with Comcast.

He attended Exton United Methodist Church, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War and the Eagle-Glenmoore Lions Club.

He is survived by son Frederick and wife Barbara Baynard of Hopewell, VA;
son William and wife Erin Baynard of Royersford, PA; daughter Cynthia and husband David Gautreau of Phoenixville, PA; son Robert and wife Barbara Baynard of Pottsgrove, PA; seven grandchildren, Crystine, Robert, Caitlynn, Brendon, Colin, Christopher, Nicole; twin brother Thomas Baynard of Downingtown, PA; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011 in the Devlin-Rosmos-Kepp Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 517 S. Main St. at Fourth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA at 11 a.m.

Burial will be private.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Esther Morris, 85

Esther Marie (McCloskey) Morris passed from this earth to the next on Nov. 2, 2011.

A devoted wife, mother, and community activist, she was born Jan. 4, 1926 to Hermina (Kampert) and Leo (Najechalski) McCloskey in Duquesne, Pennsylvania.

Esther married Ernest Morris on April 17, 1948, and moved from Munhall, PA to Phoenixville in 1967.

Mrs. Morris is survived by her loving husband Ernest Morris, 88; three children, Kathleen A., wife of Curtis Kullberg of Minneapolis, Robert E. Morris, husband of Dorothy of Pottstown, and Richard A. Morris of Phoenixville; and one brother, Edgar McCloskey of Elizabeth, PA.

Mrs. Morris is also survived by grandchildren Jason E. Morris and Stefanie (Eric) Ditty of Pottstown, Emma and Tess Kullberg of Minneapolis; one great grandson Riley Ditty; one niece, Christine Iams, and children April and Brandon, of Buena Vista, PA; and sister-in-law Edith (Morris) Ward of Minneapolis.

Our flag bearer was the rallying point for the family, as well as leading the charge for the causes of rural development and environmental pollution in northern Chester County. Her love of animals kept a steady stream of abandoned cats coming to her door through the many years on Spring City Road. We will continue to keep the lights on, Mum, for your critters.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011 at 11 a.m. 

Joseph Dietz, Deacon of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Phoenixville, will officiate. Burial will be held privately. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Vincent DiPaul III, 24

Vincent Anthony DiPaul, III, 24, of Port Providence, PA, died suddenly on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011 following injuries sustained in an auto accident.

Born in Phoenixville, PA, he was the son of Vincent A. Jr and Tracey A. (Tubbs) DiPaul.

Vincent was a graduate of Spring-Ford High School, Class of 2005. He graduated from Wesley College in Dover, DE with a degree in Physical Education.

He was employed by Ron Smith Inc. in Downingtown, PA.

He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. He loved to workout and lift weights, and he loved all sports.

Surviving in addition to his parents are brothers Adam, Christopher and Matthew; maternal grandparents, Warren and Andra Talley; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Vincent Sr. and Anna DiPaul.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 212 Dayton St., Phoenixville, PA on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. John Hutter officiating.

Burial will be private.

A viewing will be held on Monday, Nov. 7, 2011 in the Devlin-Rosmos-Kepp Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 517 S. Main St. at Fourth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and on Tuesday morning in church from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
