Mario D'Ercole, 62

Mario P. D’Ercole, 62, husband of Sandra M. (Records) D’Ercole, of Phoenixville, passed away on Thursday evening, Oct. 13, 2011, in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.  

Born in Chieti, Italy, he was a son of Silvino D’Ercole of Overbrook Park and the late Felicia (Giacomucci) D’Ercole. A Purple Heart recipient, Mr. D’Ercole served as a medic in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

He was an active member of St. Ann Parish where he served as an usher. He enjoyed watching the History and Military channels. 

Most importantly, Mario was a devoted family man, a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His devotion carried through his hard work, as he was employed for over 30 years at BMW of the Main Line.

In addition to his father and loving wife of 33 years, Mr. D’Ercole is survived by three sons, Silvio P., husband of Sadie D’Ercole; Eric J. D’Ercole; and John J. D’Ercole, all of Phoenixville; grandson Gavin D’Ercole; sisters, Patricia D’Ercole of Overbrook Park and Sue Reaka of Kansas City, MO; a brother, Alfonso D’Ercole of Philadelphia; and several nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his funeral mass on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011, in the St. Ann Church, Main Street at Third Avenue, Phoenixville, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. John J. Newns officiating.  

Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken. Friends will be received from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Main Street at Fifth Avenue and from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday morning at the church.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Mario’s name to the Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania Patient Fund, c/o Denney DuPont, 3400 Spruce St., 1 Founders Building, Philadelphia, PA 19104.

Joan Sepega, 78

Joan A. (Berg) Sepega, 78, of Phoenixville, PA, died on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011 in Golden Living Center, Phoenixville.

Born in Phoenixville, she was the daughter of the late William J. Sr. and Mary (Hanhauser) Berg.

Joan retired from Danco Tool and Die Company in Phoenixville.

Surviving are daughter, Mary Powell of Palm City, FL; son, Ben Sepega of Phoenixville; daughter, Vanessa Tammaro of Phoenixville; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dolly Whitby of Phoenixville.

She was preceded in death by brothers and sister William Berg Jr., Maryellen Ray and Walter Berg.

A memorial service will be held at the home of Ben Sepega, 65 S. Whitehorse Road, Phoenixville, on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011 at 3 p.m.

Judith Wheeler, 64

Judith N. (Quay) Wheeler, 64, wife of the late Claron D. Wheeler, of Royersford, PA, died on Monday, Oct. 10, 2011 in Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.

Born in Phoenixville, PA she was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Amadio) Quay.

She is survived by her son, James C. Wheeler of Royersford.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service in the Devlin-Rosmos-Kepp Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 517 S. Main St. at Fourth Avenue, Phoenixville, on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011 at 11 a.m.

Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Phoenixville.

Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Mary Elizabeth Bober, 85

Mary Elizabeth Bober, 85, formerly of Phoenixville, died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011 at Paoli Hospital.

She was born in Phoenixville, PA, and was the daughter of the late John Charles Sr. and Josephine Stella (Wisneski) Bober.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Phoenixville. Mary Elizabeth was very active in animal protection agencies and many religious organizations.

She served as a nurse in the United States Army during World War II, and then became a nun until illness made her retire from the order. 

She then worked as a registered nurse and retired from Phoenixville Manor.

Surviving is one sister, Mildred A. Onder, Phoenixville, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by sisters Margaret Komada, Eleanor Politowski, Dorothy Wojtas, Loretta Bober and Mary Theresa Bober, who recently passed on Oct. 8, 2011 and brother John Charles (Chuck) Bober Jr.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011 at Devlin-Rosmos-Kepp Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Main Street and Fourth Avenue, Phoenixville.

Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Phoenixville. There will be a viewing from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Grace Denithorne, 82

Grace L. (Thorum) Denithorne, formerly of Hellam, PA, passed away at home on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011.  

She was the beloved wife of the late James Keenan Denithorne and a dear mother of Bruce, husband of Desiree; John, husband of Sally; Douglas and James K. Denithorne, in whose loving care she lived for the last four years of her life. 

Mrs. Denithorne is also survived by seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two brothers, William R. Thorum and Fons E. Thorum.

Grace will be remembered for being the“Neighborhood Mom." For many years she also enjoyed tutoring students in math and reading at the Owen J. Roberts High School.  

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service, Friday, Oct. 14, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Brownback’s United Church of Christ, 640 Ridge Road, Spring City, PA, with interment to follow in the church cemetery.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Richard Fetterman Sr., 83

Richard R. Fetterman Sr., 83, husband of Sandra L. (Berkey) Fetterman of Royersford, PA, passed peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday evening, Oct. 7, 2011 in the Phoenixville Hospital from complications of Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.  

Born in Phoenixville on Dec. 8, 1927, he was a son of the late Charles R. and Ella P. (Tarter) Fetterman.  

Mr. Fetterman joined the Merchant Marines at the age of 15. He later joined the Marine Corp and served during World War II in Iwo Jima and Saipan. 

Mr. Fetterman worked for more than 32 years at Valley Maid and Bachman as a driver, and in later years was a supervisor. He retired from Bachman in 1991 and worked part-time at Genuardi's in Kimberton.  

Dick was a founding member of Camp Little Big Buck in Roxbury, PA, where he and his family spent many good times. He is a member of the St. James United Church of Christ in Limerick and the American Legion Post 0602 in Spring City. He is also a current member and past Commandant of the Paul Seton/George Pron Detachment of the Marine Corp League. 

In addition to his wife of 31 years, Mr. Fetterman is survived by four daughters: Patricia, wife of Kenneth Mickiewicz of Douglassville; Donna, wife of Rear Admiral Retired Daniel Stone of Camarillo, CA; Susan, wife of Charles Ewing Jr. of Royersford; and Karen, wife of Todd Hartzman of Douglassville; two sons: Richard Jr. of Royersford; James of Pottstown and step-son Donald Geihsler of Spring City; 18 grandchildren: Theresa Troutman, Douglassville; Darren Miskiewicz and his wife Amy of Spring City; Kevin Miskiewicz and his partner Tami of Royersford; Melissa, wife of Todd Partridge of Holliston, MA; Chris, wife of Patrick Hurley of San Diego, CA; Todd Fetterman of Temple; Bryan Fetterman of Royersford; Erin Fetterman of Pottstown; Shannon Ewing, fiancée of Brian Yeagley of Royersford; Marc Ewing and wife Dana of Pottstown; Steven Ewing and fiancée Erica Donovan of Phoenixville; Nicholas and Kristyn Fetterman of East Coventry; Robert  Hartzman and wife Genevieve of Schwenksville; Melissa, wife of Frank DePaul of Pottstown; Karissa Lance of Douglassville; Andrew Hartzman, Douglassville; and Donald (DJ) Geihsler Jr. of Spring City; five great-grandchildren: Andrew Mickiewicz, Spring City, Annabel Hurley, San Diego, CA, Jackson and Charles Partridge, Holliston, MA, Taylor Ingram, Pottstown; step-mother-in-law Nieda Berkey, of Pottstown, seven sisters: Pearl, wife of Joseph Sparano of Phoenixville; Virginia Domarasky of Phoenixville; Arlene, widow of Walter Cory of Norristown; Verna, widow of Harry Severson of Royersford; Mabel, widow of Frederick Schutz of Phoenixville; Sara Rudzik of Phoenixville; Gloria Hatfield, wife of Donald of Chester Springs; and his beloved Shih Tzu, Toby. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the Campbell–Ennis–Klotzbach Funeral Home Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, on Wednesday morning, Oct. 12, 2011 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Rachael R. Pryor will officiate.  

Burial will be in the Limerick Garden of Memories. Friends will be received from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday morning at the funeral home.
