Mary Ujobai, 78

Mary (Kacanda) Ujobai, 78, wife of the late John Ujobai, of Phoenixville, PA, died on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011 in Phoenixville Hospital.

Born in Phoenixville, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Elizabeth (Sidor) Kacanda.

Mary was a graduate of Phoenixville High School, Class of 1951.

She retired after working 25 years at Phoenixville Hospital, where she worked in the billing/finance department.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Phoenixville.

Surviving are a daughter, Marla, wife of Donald Shiffler, of Phoenixville; a son, John J. Jr., husband of Lisa Ujobai, of Royersford, PA; seven grandchildren: Kirsten Shiffler, Zachary Shiffler, Max Shiffler, Lexus Ujobai, Lauren Ujobai, Lance Ujobai, Lindsay Ujobai; and two sisters, Donna Kacanda and Elizabeth Killeen, both of Phoenixville.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service in the Devlin-Rosmos-Kepp Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 517 S. Main St. at Fourth Avenue, Phoenixville, on Monday, Oct. 3, 2011 at 11 a.m.

Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Phoenixville, PA.

A viewing will be held in the funeral home from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Patricia Lee Phillips, 63

Patricia Lee Phillips, 63, of Deltona, FL, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011. 

She was born in Phoenixville, PA, on July 26, 1948, the daughter of Lee and Virginia (Wheatley) Douglas, and came to Deltona, FL three years ago from Pottstown, PA.

Pat ran a home day care center.

She is survived by her son, Michael Phillips of Northeast, MD; daughter, Rochelle Briej of Deltona, FL; and seven grandchildren, Brittany, Brianna, Zachary, Hannah, Treyvis, Jasmine and Chaden.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service in the Devlin-Rosmos-Kepp Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 517 S. Main St., Phoenixville, on Friday, Sept. 30, 2011 at 1 p.m.

Burial will follow in Brownback's United Church of Christ Cemetery, Spring City, PA.

A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Friday from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

Catherine Moore, 88

Catherine L. Moore, 88, formerly of Royersford, PA, who recently resided at Country Meadows in York, PA, died Sept. 19, 2011.

She was born on Nov. 3, 1922, to the late Frederick and Ethel Croll of Mont Clare.

Catherine was described by those who knew her as a kind and gentle woman who thought of others before herself.

She is survived by her brother Clyde Croll; two sons and a daughter, Dennis, Kevin and Sharon; and five grandchildren, Scott, Brian, Jeffrey, Joel and Tara. She also left great grandchildren, Megan, Emily, Carter and Gabrielle.

Catherine was preceded in death by her grandson, John. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Catherine's memory to the Alzheimer Association at 3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 205, Harrisburg, PA  17110.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. There will be no viewing. Burial will be in Green Tree Cemetery in Oaks, PA.

Milton Schaefer, 80

Milton Schaefer, 80, of Elverson, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011 at Phoenixville Hospital.  

He was the husband of 46 years of Beverly (Brown-Shronk) Schaefer.

He was born in the Bronx, NY, to the late Martin and Sarah (Zuckerman) Schaefer.  

After graduating from Central High School in Philadelphia, he began a career in sales for Thrift-Rack and Fleming, both in King of Prussia, until retiring as a sales supervisor.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Andrew of Richfield, CT and Stephen of Elverson; two daughters, Marley Keefer of Yorktown, VA and Nicole Freed, of Pine Grove and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA, with Mr. Larry Chelder officiating. Burial will be private.  

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Phoenixville Hospital Senior Resource Center, 824 Main St., Suite 202, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
