Phoenixville Great Grandmother Dies at 81

Dorothy (Hallman) Bernat, 81, wife of Henry J. Bernat of Phoenixville, PA, died on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at home.

Born in Phoenixville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ann (Rowan) Hallman.

Dorothy was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Phoenixville.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 62 years are: Son, Eugene Bernat of Phoenixville, PA; Daughter, Karen and husband Rick Mastrangelo of Spring City, PA; Son, John and wife Sandra Bernat of Spring City, PA; Daughter, Lisa Bernat of East Coventry, PA;7 Grandchildren, Laurie, Frances, Carl, Andrew, Joel, John Frank and Joshua; 5 Great-Grandchildren, Alexis, Sara Rose, Lilyannah, Zander and Leah; Sister, Margaret Carmichael of Phoenixville, PA;many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Cass Piermani, Miriam Bortzman, and her brother, Charles Hallman.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 219 Dayton Street, Phoenixville, PA, on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 10:30 am.

Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Phoenixville, PA.

Relatives and Friends may call at the church on Saturday morning from 8:45 am to 10:15 am.

In lieu of flowers mass cards may be given or memorial contributions may be sent to The Clinic, 143 Church Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
