Phoenixville Native Dies Weeks after Husband of 64 Years

Services are planned for Friday in Phoenixville

Jane H. (Heyser) Werner, age 86, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, November 11, 2013 at the Beaufort Memorial Hospital in Beaufort, South Carolina. She was born in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania to Wilbur A. and Isabel (Henderson) Heyser.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years Homer Vail Werner on September 30, 2013, her young son Homer Karl Werner, and her brother Wilbur A. Heyser, Jr. 

After completing high school, Jane attended business school in Philadelphia, PA. She married Homer in 1949 and became a stay at home Mom, deriving great pleasure from managing a home and raising three little boys. The family also enjoyed traveling and spending time at the Jersey Shore. In the 1990's, she and Homer relocated to Beaufort, South Carolina to be nearer to newborn twin grandchildren, Haynes and Hannah.

She is survived by sons Douglas Werner, currently of Philadelphia and Doctor Glenn Werner of Beaufort, South Carolina; her daughter-in-laws Shea and Lynn; and her grandchildren Timothy, Haynes, and Hannah; one brother Robert H. Heyser of Phoenixville; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a loving mother and grandmother and leaves behind many friends and family. 

Relatives and friends will be received at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA on Friday, November 15, 2013 from 10:00-11:00 AM. The funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Linda S. Gruber at 11:00 AM followed by burial in Morris Cemetery.
