Richard Levengood, 73, Grew Up in Kimberton

Levengood passed away on September 23.

Richard A. Levengood, age 73, husband of Jane (Lorenz) Levengood of Limerick, PA passed away on September 23, 2012. He was the son of the late C. Richard and Marjorie (Jackson) Levengood.

Richard lived in Kimberton for most of his growing up years. He was a graduate of the Spring-Ford High School in 1956. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Phoenixville, where he once served as a deacon, and was a member of Mt. Pickering Lodge #446. He also served on the Troop Committee of Kimberton Troop 49.

In addition to his wife of 53 years, Mr. Levengood is survived by three children, Charles, husband of Gina Levengood of Pittsford, NY, Gwendolyn, wife of Brian Ward of Royersford, and Robert Levengood of New Hope; six grandchildren, Emily and Colin Ward, Elizabeth, Matthew, Michael, and Grace Levengood.

A Celebration of Life will be held at St. John's United Church of Christ, 315 Gay Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460 on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be the Rev. Linda S. Gruber. Friends will be received at the church from 10:00-11:00 AM Saturday. Contributions may be made in his name to the St. John's United Church of Christ at the address above. Arrangements are being handled by the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville.
