Veteran National Guardsman John A. Krause Jr. Died Saturday

The Phoenixville native was a retired from his job of 43 years at the Container Corporation of America in Oaks.

John A. Krause, Jr., husband of the late Genevieve M. (Trzcecinski) Krause, of Phoenixville, died suddenly on Saturday morning, February 16, 2013 in the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.

Born in Phoenixville, he was a son of the late John A. Krause, Sr. and the late Susan (Jurata) Krause. A veteran, he served for the U.S. National Guard. Mr. Krause retired as lead printer for the Container Corporation of America in Oaks, Pa. after 43 years of service. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Church for many years.

Mr. Krause is survived by a daughter, Jennifer A., wife of Thomas C. Shoemaker, of East Coventry, Pa.; a brother, Joseph P. Krause, of Phoenixville; and two grandchildren, Brenden J. Shoemaker and Jordyn G. Shoemaker, both of East Coventry, Pa. Mr. Krause was pre-deceased by one sister, Louise Krasley.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the Campbell–Ennis–Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue in Phoenixville on Thursday, Feb. 21, at 11 a.m. Burial will be held privately in the Holy Trinity Cemetery, in Phoenixville. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday morning at the funeral home.
