Roses & Lilies & Daisies OH MY! The busiest floral day of the year is....

The Busiest Floral day of the year is VALENTINE'S DAY!

Don't you just feel like we all just sat down to a nice thanksgiving dinner or we just opened our presents on Christmas day? The days just go by too fast and in mere 22 days, love will be in the air and it will be time to get flowers for that special someone on Valentine's day. Now don't just think this holiday is for lovers, it is also for moms, grand moms, sisters, friends or whoever you want to show how much you love, care and appreciate them. So now the question is, "what do I do this Valentine's Day"? Here are a couple things to know about your gifts for valentines day.

Now don't think that Valentine's day is JUST a flower holiday because the top 3 gifts are....

-Flowers

-Chocolates

-Greeting cards.

Your florist more than likely has all 3 of these things and may have even more to offer you like balloons and or stuffed animals! So when placing your order, make sure to ask to include these items with your bouquet. There are hundreds and hundreds of different flowers out there, but on the busiest floral day of the year, floral statistics from 'aboutflowers', estimated 224 million roses were purchased last year.Throughout history, the red rose became popular starting as the favorite flower of Venus, the Roman goddess of love, and it recently has kept the reputation of being a symbol of love, respect, compassion and romance.  So, What's the popular rose this year… drum roll please… you guessed it, RED RED RED!! And, you have so many arrangements to choose from at different price points too.  You can do a single red rose, a beautiful dozen, 2 dozen, 3 dozen,  or red roses in an arrangement with other complementing flowers.. the possibilities are endless! And if you don't know what you want that is okay too. That's our job as florists to ask the right questions and piece together the perfect arrangement for your special someone.

On that note, make sure you call your florist 3-7 days or more before the holiday to ensure that you are getting exactly what you want and when you want it.  Now we are all human, and we have all gotten to FEB 14 @4:45pm and every shop in town closes in 15 minutes and you realized, "OH NO! I need flowers!! Do not worry! You will not walk away empty handed. Here is a tip too…. Valentines day falls on a Thursday this year, so don't be afraid to send a stunning Valentine's Day Bouquet early to your sweetheart, at work, with a note attached about what awaits her when she gets home or the plans for the weekend.

We are not only florists but poets here too, so with the Valentine's day spirit, we leave you with this little poem…….

-Whatever your heart desires to buy, we will guide you in your decision and not let you sigh,This valentines day will be the best one yet, it will be surely be one your special someone will never forget.
