Reading Olympics is a trivia competition amongst schools in Chester County that requires teams of 12 or less students to read 45-50 book throughout the school year. The competition is meant to be a celebration of reading and to promote teamwork and collaboration. At the final competition, teams square off and answer questions about each book, with the opportunity to “steal” if the opposing team gets it wrong. Mrs. Engler said, “Our students work hard all year to read the books and train for the event. Renaissance Academy staff and parents even read the books in advance over the summer to help compose “practice trivia” questions to help the teams prepare.”
Mrs. Engler went on to say, “Reading Olympics is always a fantastic experience for everyone involved, and I am so thankful for the students, staff and parents who participate and help to make this event a success for the teams. Both our teams showed that they have the ability to work hard together to achieve their goals.”
