Community Update

I personally am outraged about this. In today’s Daily Local News. They had an article about Phoenixville’s VFW donating $24,000 to Schuylkill Twp.

Phoenixville’s Ettinger-Powers-Campbell Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 156 donated $24,158 to local police for “PATROL RIFLES W/OPICAL SIGHTS & LIGHT ATTACMENTS” Notice the change of names they're called “ PATROL RIFLES” when the police have them but “ASSUALT RIFLES” when llaw abiding citizens have them. As you well know there is a major push by politicians and anti’s to ban these rifles and high capacity mags for us citizens.

A spokesman for Post 1564 wrongly stated: “As vets, we were first responders when we volunteered to go off to war. These guys are first responders on the front lines of our own communities every day………this equipment will help keep them safe”.

I beg to differ. First. We the citizens are the first responders of criminal attacks and the police are the second.
Second. If the second responders need them to keep safe, then also will us first responders. Remember the “Rodney King Riots.”

Do they not realize that these very same “Patrol Rifles” will be used against them when ordered to confiscate ours?
