A 13-year veteran of the Phoenixville Police Department has been promoted the rank of sergeant. Corporal Patrick Mark took the oath of office as sergeant from Phoenixville Mayor Leo Scoda Tuesday night at the start of the Phoenixville Borough Council meeting.
Mark's wife Katie held the bible as his mother and father, a former Phoenixville Borough Council member, watched.
Sgt. Mark will be assigned to the Patrol Division of the police department.
