Brother Arrested After Argument Gets Physical, Phoenixville Police Say

Two brothers got in a scuffle in a home on Morris Street, according to police.

A 45-year-old Phoenixville man was arrested last week after police say he assaulted his girlfriend and, in a resulting scuffle, nearly pushed his brother down a flight of stairs.

On March 12 at 10:51 p.m., Phoenixville Police responded to the 200 block of Morris Street for a report of a domestic assault. According to court documents, on the scene one of the victims told police that he was in his second floor bedroom when he heard his brother having a fight with his girlfriend. The man said he thought it was a physical altercation, police say.

The victim went downstairs and began arguing with his brother, at which point the defendant attacked, pushing him out of the room and nearly knocking him down a flight of stairs, police say.
