Cop Dresses in Amish Drag to Catch Flasher
"I wanted to share with you that we will use all means available to try and protect our children," Sergeant Chad Adams said.
A police officer in Lawrence County went undercover -- very undercover -- in his efforts to catch a flasher harassing young residents.
"Back in January we had an individual preying on Amish children walking home from school," the Pulaski Township Police Department shared on its Facebook page this week. The man was exposing himself to the children, police said.
So Sergeant Chad Adams did something about it: He dressed up as an Amish woman in an attempt to catch the flasher in the act.
"I wanted to share with you that we will use all means available to try and protect our children," Adams wrote on Facebook once the investigation was concluded. "That includes dressing up as an Amish woman to attempt to apprehend a pervert!"
Though the flasher never approached Adams, police believe he is off the streets. "Although we did not apprehend the individual, we believe he was caught in another county," Adams said.
Neshannock and New Wilmington police assisted Pulaski Township police with the investigation.
