East Pikeland Police Blotter: Attempted Theft from Bob's Auto

The following incident reports were provided by the East Pikeland Police Department. Arrest does not suggest conviction.

Retail theft at Redner’s

On October 12 at approximately 11a.m., East Pikeland Police responded to the Redners located on the 200 block of Schuylkill Road for a retail theft. Officers responded and arrested Ayannamad Madia Barbee (Miles) from 401 Lenz Lane, West Berlin, NJ for not paying for some deli items, a soft drink, and a doughnut. When asked for her name she reported to the arresting officer a false name. She was charged with false ID to law enforcement and retail theft. A summons will be sent by Judge Michaels.

DUI on Hares Hill Road

On October 12 at approximately 8:37 p.m., East Pikeland Police received a report of an accident on Hares Hill Road at Camp Counsel. When Officers responded to the area, they observed a vehicle with heavy front end damage and three flat tires. When the officer approached the vehicle the driver seems disoriented and his eyes were bloodshot. Officers then removed James Minton, 48 years of age and a resident of the 100 block of Chestnut Street, Spring City, from the vehicle and placed him under arrest. He was charged with DUI and failure to drive within his lane. Minton was released pending a hearing at Judge Michaels Office.

Theft from Kimberton Fire House

On October 13 at 10:45 a.m., East Pikeland Police received a report of a theft at the Kimberton Fire House. Sometime between July 11 and July 14, Kimberton Fire discovered the HP Compaq Tablet missing from the community center. Approximate value of the laptop is $1,000. Attempted theft from Bob’s Auto

On October 15 at about 2:25 p.m., East Pikeland Police received a report of an attempted theft at Bob’s Auto on the 700 block of Pike Springs Road, Phoenixville. The victim reported that a large amount of trailers located behind the Queen’s appliance had the latches cut off which hold the lock in place. Nothing was removed from the trailers. Anyone who has any information on the incident is asked to contact East Pikeland Police at 610-935-0606.

Attempted burglary on Pickering Road

On October 15 at approximately 5:31 p.m., East Pikeland Police received a report of a burglary in the 1800 block of Pickering Road. The victim stated that at 3:24 p.m. the security alarm went off. When officers responded to the residence, the wooden glass pane door was kicked in and wide open. Officers did a search of the house and found no one on the property or inside the residence. Attempted burglary on Township Line Road

On October 15 at approximately 5:30 p.m., East Pikeland Police responded to the 1200 block of Township Line Road for a report of an attempted burglary. Officers observed the window screen removed and the window lock broken. The approximate value of the window is $500.
