East Pikeland Police Blotter: Man Caught Dumpster Diving

The following arrest information was supplied by the East Pikeland Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Man Caught Dumpster Diving at Cromby Power Station

On Wednesday, Oct. 26 at approximately 5:30 p.m., police responded to a call from an employee at Cromby Power Station reporting that someone was inside a Dumpster.

Upon arrival police reported finding James Weikel, 35, of Spring City. They investigated and found that Weikel had removed copper parts from the property.

Weikel was arraigned on theft charges and remanded to Chester County Prison after failing to post $10,000 bail.

Man Allegedly Crashes Into Vehicle Containing Ex-Girlfriend

A man faces charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment and related charges after police say he rammed into a car containing his ex-girlfriend.

On Thursday, Oct. 27, at approximately 3 p.m., East Pikeland police responded to the first block of Bonnie Brae Road. Police investigation discovered that Jeffrey Dries, 25, of Pottstown, had rammed a vehicle that his ex-girlfriend was a passenger in. Charges are pending in district court and Dries has not yet been arraigned.

Marijuana Charges at Lincoln and Merlin Roads

On Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011 on or about midnight, East Pikeland Police while on routine patrol observed a vehicle with a rear tail light out on Lincoln and Merlin Roads. Police stopped the vehicle to investigate and allegedly discovered marijuana in the vehicle.

Drug Paraphernalia Charges on Route 113

Benjamin Guattery, 22, of Glenmoore, is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on Route 113 on Oct. 27.

Guaterry was released pending a hearing at a later date.

DUI on Schuylkill Road

Jennifer Rodriguez, 27, of Spring City, was charged with driving under the influence after police stopped her on Schuylkill Road for driving without headlights.

The alleged incident occurred on Oct. 26. A preliminary hearing is set for Dec. 1.

Rubbish Scattering on Schuylkill Road

Police issued a dumping citation to Marzel Brickhouse, 63, of Spring City, for allegedly scattering rubbish on a property in the 500 block of Schuylkill Road.

According to police, Brickhouse dumped construction material on the property. He was cited and released.

Theft on Cold Stream Road

Sometime between Oct. 19 and Oct. 21, someone removed a large piece of steel from a machine shop in the 300 block of Cold Stream Road.

The steel is one inch thick and 12 inches wide by six feet long and is valued at $300.
