East Pikeland Police Blotter: Women Steal from Advance Auto Parts

Theft at Advance Auto Parts

On Fri., July 15 at approximately 3:30 p.m., East Pikeland Police were called to the Advance Auto Parts on Schuylkill Road for a report of retail theft.

A female with bleach blond hair, approximately 30-years-old, and a female with dirty blond hair in her 40s with numerous missing and broken teeth took items from a shelf and brought them to a register for a refund of $90. The women may have been driving a vehicle with Ohio tags.

Assault on Balfour Circle

Police were called to the 1000 block of Balfour Circle on June 23 at 3:15 a.m. for a report of an assault in a community pool.

Travis Manorek, 27, was arrested and charged with harassment, disorderly conduct, unlawful restraint and simple assault. Manorek was arraigned and released after posting 10 percent of $5,000 bail.

After a July 21 preliminary hearing, charges were held for court and Manorek will be formally arraigned.

Theft from Vehicles

During the overnight hours June 21, someone broke into two vehicles in East Pikeland Township.
The vehicles were located in the 200 block of Jonathan Drive and in the 200 block of Beacon Drive. Thieves stole credit cards, money and a laptop computer.

Man Taken into Custody for Warrant

On June 23 at approximately 10:30 p.m., East Pikeland Police stopped Jason Flynn, of Downingtown, near Route 113 and Chester Springs Road.

Police discovered an active bench warrant for Flynn’s arrest. He was taken into custody and turned over to a state constable.

Camera Stolen from O’Grady’s Parking Lot

On Sun., June 26 between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m., a thief removed a camera valued at $800 from an unlocked vehicle.

The vehicle was parked in the rear of the O’Grady’s Restaurant parking lot on Schuylkill Road.

Multiple Thefts from Unlocked Vehicles

The following thefts from unlocked vehicles occurred recently:

-$15 was stolen from a vehicle on Richard Lee Lane. 

-A .38-caliber hand gun valued at $300 was stolen from the unit block of Richard Lee Lane.

-A camera and money were taken from a vehicle in the 800 block of Camp Circle.

-Currency was removed from a vehicle parked in the unit block of Richard Lee Lane.

DUI Arrest on Camp Circle

Laura Thorwarth, 29, was charged with driving under the influence on June 25 after her vehicle struck a tree stump in on Camp Circle, according to police.

She was processed and released pending a hearing.

Scrap Metal Stolen on Seven Stars Road

A 16-year-old juvenile removed approximately $700 worth of scrap metal from a machine shop on the 100 block of East Seven Stars Road between June 23 and 24.

Phoenixville police assisted in the investigation, and a juvenile allegation was forwarded to county authorities.

Woman Assaulted on Merlin Road

On Sat., July 2 at 11:30 a.m., an alleged victim came to the police station to report an assault by Otis Jones, 53, of East Pikeland.

The victim was treated at Phoenixville Hospital and released. Jones was charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. He was arraigned and released on $7,500 unsecured bai.

Underage Drinking Arrest on Seven Stars Road

Jessica Fritsche, 19, of East Pikeland, was arrested on Sat., July 16 at approximately 10:40 p.m. after police say she assaulted a woman in the 200 block of West Seven Stars Road.

Fritsche was charged with harassment, underage drinking and simple assault.

DUI at Pothouse and Kimberton Roads

Police charged Lisa Silva, 52, of Phoenixville, with driving under the influence after she allegedly rear-ended another car at the intersection of Pothouse and Kimberton roads.

The incident occurred on Sat., July 16 at approximately 2 p.m.

Vehicle Break-ins at Various Locations

Between July 16 and 20, the following thefts occurred:

-In the 600 block of Wall Street, a thief removed a gold pocket watch engraved with a name on the back, money and tools from a vehicle.

-A thief removed a wallet with credit cards and a driver’s license from Galicia Drive.
