East Pikeland Police: Woman Drunk at Water World

The following incident reports were provided by the East Pikeland Police Department.

On June 30, on or about 1:15 p.m. while performing a routine check of  in the 600 block of Schuylkill Road, police discovered a woman in the snack bar area under the influence of alcohol.

The defendant, 53, from Spring City, was cited for public drunkenness and taken to her home.

Additionally, on June 29 at about midnight, were called to an accident in the 700 block of route 724. A car had struck a pole. There was just the one car involved in the accident, and its occupant had no injuries.

Police interviewed the driver and could smell a strong odor of alcoholic beverages coming from the defendant. He failed field sobriety tests and was transported to Phoenixville Hospital where blood was drawn.

The male defendant, 32, and a resident of the 600 block of Schuylkill Road in Phoenixville, was charged, processed, and released pending a hearing at a later date and time.
