Fellowship Staff Allegedly Threatened: 'Gonna Be Another Sandy Hook'

Police say a 66-year-old woman with a daughter in treatment levied the threat.

Police say a Phoenixville woman, invoking the Newtown, Connecticut school shooting, threatened the staff at Fellowship Health Resources on Tuesday.

Elizabeth Betsy Raio, 66, was charged with making terrorist threats and harassment in connection with the alleged December 18 incident.

According to court documents, Raio’s daughter, a Fellowship Health patient, was on the phone with a staff member when Raio began making threats.

“If my daughter dies, they’re all gonna die. It’s gonna be another Sandy Hook at Fellowship,” she allegedly told the employee.

While reporting the incident to Phoenixville Police, the staff member said Raio was concerned about her daughter’s medication needs.

Raio was arrested, arrainged, and released from Chester County Prison after posting bail, which was set at $5,000.

Fellowship Health Resources did not respond to a request for comment.
