Kenneth Ford Hamilton made bail and walked out of Chester County Prison Wednesday night. Thursday morning he walked in the front door of Phoenixville District Court for a preliminary hearing on 13 felony counts of possessing and distributing child pornography.

Thursday afternoon the 58-year-old Phoenixvile Middle School teacher was led out the prisoner door in the back of the courthouse in shackles to be locked up once again at Chester County prison.

During a brief appearance before District Judge Ted Michaels Hamilton's preliminary hearing was rescheduled for next week.

Even more signiificant for Hamilton was the state's request to have his $250,000 bail denied in the case. The judge granted the prosecution request and Hamilton was sent back to prison to await a preliminary hearing.

My wife's friend saw Dr. C the other day. Why isn't that convicted pedophile in jail yet??

I don't think he's an actual pedophile. He viewed and distributed child porn and has not been accused of actually doing anything to a irl child correct? Im not saying that wouldn't be his next step or that he is not a threat but he didn't engage in pedophilia

Dr. C reports to jail to start his sentence this month, why a convicted felon is allowed to walk the streets prior to starting jail time is beyond me however.

On 30Dec2013 Dr. C will get a taste of what was preparing children for.....JAIL. Within Federal prison he will have an one/ one opportunity to understand people he clearly judged premeditatedly after jail he will continue to pay the taxpayers back the monies wasted on him. I'm wondering if Mr. Hamilton, his supplier? and others?

Dr. C will also have the opportunity to comprehend the meaning of stripping kids of their identity, as he would have to change his name to gain employment. What he was allowed to do to children should have never happened and the fact that people assisted him is DISGUSTING, nothing, nothing....nothing he did was academically focused.

Bridal Carol: The Chester County District Attorney would take the opposite view. By buying, selling, trading or otherwise being involved in child pornography, a user/watcher of child porn is in fact creating a market for the material... that in turn creates the situation in which children are indeed victimized to meet the demand.

Correct, Bob Byrne.

As someone that has worked with special needs children and adults for many years, this really hits home because I realize how vulnerable these folks can be. Someone in a position of power could easily exploit them and these types of headlines gives all of us a bad name. Thank God the police caught these sick individuals!
