Man Crashes Car, Steals Bike to Evade Arrest, Leaves Child Behind
Ruben Reyes Moran, 42, is facing multiple charges stemming from the June 8 incident.
A Philadelphia man in possession of a glass pipe and multiple syringes crashed into two parked cars in Phoenixville earlier this month before ditching his car, and his eight-year-old passenger, and fleeing the scene on a stolen bike, according to a report by The Mercury.
Ruben Reyes Moran, 42, faces charges of theft, endangering the welfare of a child, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without a license, and accidentally damaging an unattended vehicle. He’s scheduled for a preliminary hearing on June 21 at 10 a.m. in .

According to , Moran was driving along the 400 block of Nutt Road on June 8 when he crashed into a pair of parked cars with his Mercury Sable. At this point, Moran jumped from the car and ran west on Nutt Road, leaving his eight-year-old passenger behind. It’s unclear how, or if, the child is related to Moran.
Not long after Moran stole a bicycle from a Nutt Road residence to expedite his escape, Phoenixville Police tracked him down. When they searched him, they found a glass smoking pipe and four used syringes.
