Czukoski’s File Requested in Child Porn Probe, PASD Says

Though Phoenixville Area School District was contacted last fall by authorities looking for Troy Czukoski’s personnel file, it wasn’t until Tuesday afternoon that district officials learned that child pornography charges had been levied against their former middle school principal.

“Around 12:30 p.m. today, the district learned through the posting of an article in Pottstown Mercury that Dr. Troy Czukoski, a former administrator with the district, has been charged with possession of child pornography,” PASD superintendent Alan Fegley wrote in a letter to parents Tuesday.

Fegley said the district would, if asked, work with law enforcement.

“The district was contacted once last fall by law enforcement, who asked for Dr. Czukoski’s personnel file. If contacted again, the district will cooperate with the authorities.”

The superintendent added that the district has no information on the Czukoski case beyond what has been reported in the media.
