Phoenixville Federal Bank Robbed, Again

Police believe it was the same man who robbed the Main Street bank on Feb. 20.

For the second time in eight weeks, Phoenixville Federal Bank and Trust on Main Street was robbed, Phoenixville Police are confirming. The department believes the same man was responsible for both robberies.

According to Sgt. Joseph Nemic, who is investigating the case, sometime before 11:55 a.m., a white male in his early 20s entered the bank, threatened employees with a black revolver, and demanded money from a teller.

The robber, who police say is approximately 5'10" to 6'0" with dark hair, concealed his face with the collar of his jacket, but was captured by the bank's security camera. (Those images are attached to this article.)

After leaving the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash, the man ran south on Main Street. No injuries were reported.

Investigators believe the same man robbed the Main Street branch of Phoenixville Federal branch on Feb. 20.

The bank has posted a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the crimes. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Phoenixville Police Department Detective Division at 610-933-1180.

In response to Ed Jones; Starr Street has never been 35 mph. I have lived on Starr Street all my life and I has always been 25 mph. It is 25 mph because is goes through a residential area. People just need to deal with it and move on.

How many years is "all your life"? I'm sure Starr Street has existed longer than you...

Guess you're not very old. Or perhaps your long term memory is shot.
